据世卫组织统计，目前全球每年约有500万人因吸烟而死亡，烟草已成为继高血压之后的第二号“杀手”。如果不加以控制，到20XX年每年吸烟致死的人数有可能增加一倍。同时，吸烟会增加心血管疾病和脑卒中的发病危险。与吸烟有关的疾病还有缺血性心脏病、口腔癌、咽喉癌、食道癌、呼吸道癌症、以及慢性支气管炎等。就算知道这些，相信很多人都会像一样，说：“正因为我的健康很好，才抽。听人说，抽烟还有好多好处。”我记得其中说可以增加税收，扩大就业率，等等。

“吸烟有害健康”在这个话题一直被人们关注着，大家都知道吸烟对我们的健康有着极大的伤害。近50多年来，世界各国特别是工业发达国家，肺癌的发病率和病死率均迅速上升，死于癌病的男性病人中肺癌已居首位。大量流行病学研究证实，吸烟是导致肺癌的首要危险因素。为了引起国际社会对烟草危害人类健康的重视，世界卫生组织建议将每年的5月31日定为世界无烟日。

香烟中的尼古丁、一氧化碳和多种其它金属化合物对人体危害很大，对青少年的影响更甚。据医学研究表明，青少年正处在生长发育时期，各生理系统、器官都尚未成熟，其对外界环境的有害因素的抵抗力比成人弱，易于吸收毒物。据调查，吸烟开始年龄与肺癌死亡率直接相关。15岁以下开始吸烟者死亡率为19.68%;20～24岁为10.08%;25岁以上为4.08%。这说明吸烟开始年龄越早，肺癌发生率与死亡率越高。同时，吸烟还会损害大脑，使思维变得迟钝，记忆力减退，影响学习和工作，使学生的学习成绩下降。心理研究结果表明，吸烟者的智力效能比不吸烟者低了10.6%。

吸烟的危害，人人皆知。全世界每年因吸烟死亡达250万人，吸烟是人类的第一人为杀手。研究表明，吸烟是导致呼吸道疾病的主要原因之一，吸烟者的平均寿命比不吸烟者少20年。

吸烟对青少年的影响更大。青少年时期，身体器官还没有发育成熟，抵抗力较弱，人体细胞对致癌物质更加敏感，青少年吸烟可直接导致脱发、听力下降、身体矮小、记忆力衰退，严重影响青少年的身心健康。况且，吸烟要耗费一定的钱财，用的都是父母的血汗钱，我们的父母绝不希望看到自己的孩子成为一个骨瘦如柴精神萎靡的香烟受害者!

吸烟不仅有害于健康，还容易导致青少年的堕落，因为吸烟还会导致个别学生犯罪。为过烟瘾铤而走险，走向犯罪的例子并不罕见。

5月31日悄悄来到我们身边，这不是一个平凡的日子，它是世界无烟日呀!亲爱的同学，你知道吸烟对人体的危害吗?大量的科学研究资料早就证明，吸烟对人体健康的危害十分广泛。所有烟草中均含有可导致人体发生多种致死性和致残性健康问题的毒素;吸烟者患癌症，尤其是肺癌、心脏病、肺气肿及其他致死性疾病的危险性会明显增加。然而，就在去年的今天，一项针对青少年烟草使用情况的最新调查显示，中国有20%以上的初中生尝试过吸烟，近92%的学生认为吸烟肯定会损害健康，但仍有22%的男生和4%的女生表示可能或肯定会在今后吸烟。看看我们邪恶校园的某些肮脏的角落里，烟蒂满是，可见连我们这个本该最纯净的校园也越来越不是那么纯净了，中学生主动吸烟和被动吸烟已成为一个不容忽视的问题。

如今全球平均每年有40o万例、每天有11000例死亡与烟草有关。正如专家所言，烟草是一种在正常使用过程中就会杀死消费者的产品，烟草流行是一种无情的不分国家和社会的公共卫生灾难。

当发达国家的烟草商因在本国受到限制与责难，千方百计地向中国和发展中国家推销香烟、诱惑青少年吸洋烟时，我们广大青少年决不能“误上贼船”。为了使人们意识到吸烟所带来的各种各样的危害，各国政府都在不遗余力地宣传“吸烟有害健康”，我国就有禁止香烟广告的规定，联合国也特别制定了每年的5月31日为“世界无烟日”。目的是创造一个清新、环保、绿色的“地球村”，让全人类的生活环境变得更健康、更美好。

吸烟危害健康，这句话无论是在家里，在学校里，还是社会中，都被我们听过很多遍了。可是，吸烟到底有哪些危害呢?许多同学对此却不是太清楚。那么，先让我们来看一组令人触目惊心的数据吧!

从2000年起，全球每年约有500万人因吸烟死亡。在个别国家，因吸烟而死亡的人数甚至已超过了因自杀，谋杀，交通事故致死的总和。如果不加以控制，在20XX年，全球13亿烟民中就会有6.3亿死于非命。除众所周知的致癌作用以外，吸烟还会导致缺血性心脏病，慢性阻梗性肺病，肺气肿等。可以说，在进入老年期后，没有几个烟民不是在无数的病痛中走完一生的。

正是因为吸烟有着如此巨大的危害，在许多国家都成立了民间反烟组织，甚至就在许多国家的政府也都纷纷下令禁止在公共场合吸烟，以抑制烟民的热情。然而，就是在今天这样一个全球上下一片反烟之声的时代里，我们学校的少数同学却正在尝试着吸烟，或许，他们自认为自己的行为很酷，很吸引人注目。可是，当他们在走廊的转角，在无人的车棚，甚至是在厕所里抽烟时能睁开眼睛好好看一看的话，就不难发现周围同学的震惊，反感和不屑。的确，香烟或许能给人以逃避现实中不顺的机会，可是我们正处在生长发育期，如果此时抽烟的话，不但会引发诸多疾病，还会干扰我们身体的正常发育。长期如此的话，大量的尼古丁甚至还有可能诱导器官的畸变，使人发育畸形，这都是我们为一时之快所付出的代价，更何况，科学研究已经证实：因为青少年的呼吸道与神经系统尚未完全发育，此时吸烟除了使人的喉咙肿痛，干涩外，不会给人带来任何舒适感。所谓的“吸烟能给青少年减轻压力”只是一句天大的谎言而已。

同学们，吸烟对我们有百害而无一利，为了我们自己的将来，也为了别人的明天，让我们携起手来，一同抵制吸烟吧!当有人向你递上香烟时，请有礼貌而坚定的拒绝;当看到亲朋好友吸烟时，请勇敢地走上前去制止他们;当看家陌生人在吸烟时，也请礼貌地向他宣传吸烟的害处。同学们，抵制吸烟不仅需要国家、政府的努力，更需要我们的支持，让我们从细节做起，从生活中的一点一滴做起吧!我相信，当真正的无烟社会到来时，受益的一定会是我们所有人!
